Welcome to My Newsletter!

Thanks a heap for signing up for the Hunter Angler Gardener Cook newsletter. I know, I know. Some of you have been reading HAGC for years, and yet this is the first time I've ever sent out a newsletter.

Why? Because I want to be able to talk with you, and I want you to be able to talk with me. In previous years, this has been easy to do via social media like Facebook -- and I will remain on those sites as always. But you should know that Facebook limits what you can see. I've had tons of readers ask what happened to me because I'd disappeared from their news feeds. Frustrating. For both of us.

This newsletter will change that. Barring some unforeseen special circumstance, I plan on sending out only one a month, so fear not: I am not going to clog up your inbox.

What will you get? Not only a round-up of the month's posts on Hunter Angler Gardener Cook, but also:

  • Highlights of what I've been up to in the kitchen (there are always odd culinary experiments going on in my house) and in the field;
  • Where I am speaking or doing classes or workshops;
  • Who I am reading these days, or what new (or old) gadget has caught my eye;
  • What's in season here in the West -- whether it's wild plants, mushrooms, fish or game;
  • And, most importantly, you'll get advance notice about anything I do that might sell out fast. My weekend hunting & fishing classes can often fill up in less than a day. By subscribing to this newsletter, you will get first crack at these spots.
Expect the first full newsletter to come in March. Until then, I'd love to hear from you about what you want to see every month. You can reach me at: scrbblr@hotmail.com Until then, get outside and cook well!
